Convert your Blue Credits into free tickets

At any time, you can convert Blue Credits earned by your company into award tickets or upgrades, valid on flights with AIR FRANCE and KLM. These awards are non-nominative: your company is free to use them for any employee.

You can convert Blue Credits into awards (tickets and upgrades) using a simple scale:
1 Blue Credit = 1 Rand (ZAR)

With BlueBiz, managing your Blue Credits is easier than ever since 1 Blue Credit = 1 Rand (ZAR). Simply make sure that enough Blue Credits are in your account to cover your fare… and receive your award!


For example: you have earned 14 000 Blue Credits. You can purchase an award ticket at a price up to R14 000.  If you choose a round trip Johannesburg-Paris flight at a fare of R12 810 (tax included), you will use 12 810 Blue Credits. The 1 190 unused Blue Credits remain on your account to be used for your next award.

Blue Credits may be used to purchase any type of ticket (as well as upgrades) with AIR FRANCE and KLM, no matter the fare or destination. BlueBiz tickets can be used for flights with AIR FRANCE and KLM, under the following conditions:
    • You can book online your ticket up until 2 working days before your departure date.
    • For tickets with complex itineraries, contact to the BlueBiz Helpdesk at least 3 working days before the departure date.
    • All tickets must be completely purchased using only Blue Credits (including fees and taxes).
    • Blue Credits enable you to purchase tickets based on all public AIR FRANCE and KLM fares available in the departure country.
    • Standard conditions corresponding to the chosen fare apply to BlueBiz tickets.
    • All change or refund requests must be made to local BlueBiz Service Desk.
    • Ticket change fees can be paid for by using your Blue Credits. In case of modification, please  contact the local BlueBiz Service Desk at least 3 working days before your departure date.
    • It is not possible to change an itinerary.
    • For tickets bought with Blue Credits, refunds will be made by re-crediting the BlueBiz account with Blue Credits.

BlueBiz upgrade awards

Request an upgrade
BlueBiz upgrade awards are authorised for AIR FRANCE and KLM operating flights.

BlueBiz upgrade award requests must be made using the award request form at least 5 working days before your departure (the time necessary to process your request).
The value of a BlueBiz upgrade award is calculated using the following method:

  • Difference between the purchased fare (+ taxes) of the original purchased ticket and the fare (+ taxes) of the newly issued ticket in the higher cabin class.
  • The fare difference is converted into Blue Credits and debited from the BlueBiz account.
  • Please contact your local BlueBiz customer service representative for classes eligible for upgrades.

from the Premium Voyageur(2) cabin to the Affaires(3) cabin,
